Welcome

Welcome to our online open house.

On this site, you will learn about the River Crossing portion of the Canyon Road Regional Connection Project, which is undergoing an environmental review through the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. This is an opportunity for you to provide input on what we have studied as part of this process so far.

This online open house is available in Spanish and English.

Pierce County, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) are undergoing an environmental review for the segment of the Canyon Road Regional Connection Project that runs from 52nd Street East to 70th Avenue East in Pierce County, Washington. This segment is often referred to as the River Crossing portion. FHWA is the federal lead agency for NEPA, and Pierce County is the lead agency for SEPA.

The River Crossing portion of the Canyon Road Regional Connection Project will extend Canyon Road East from 52nd Street East near Puyallup to 70th Avenue East in the City of Fife.

In this online open house, you will learn about:

  • The purpose and need for this portion of the project.
  • What we have learned so far during the environmental review.
  • How to submit comments about our findings so far.

We encourage you to submit thoughts and questions on this information in the Share With Us section through Sept. 24.
